Many of you are aware of my final dissertation documentary project, The Last Dance Raid. It recounts what has become known as the 1965 police raid on California Hall where straight ministers came to the defense of gays and lesbians and created a milestone court case for the city of San Francisco and the world. Although enough was completed to graduate, there is still a lot of fine tuning to be done on it -- editing the story, music score, color correction, tracking down archival footage, etc... Much of this time-consuming work also requires an enormous amount of money. So we are applying for all kinds of grants and looking into possibilities on cable and public television.
